Exhibition ‘Soul of Felt’
The ‘Soul of Felt’ exhibition has now arrived in the Netherlands from Germany. This exhibition marks the first time in Europe that artworks by felt artists from Russia, Ukraine, the Baltic states and other Central-European countries are on display together. The exhibition opened on 18 November in the Netherlands, kick-started by a magnificent fashion show.
This project is the result of a collaboration between JungenForumKunst Siegburg e. V., Ricarda Aßmann, Nina Demidova and Julia Struzh. In the city of Almere there are various studios like Fiberfusing Dorie van Dijk, Teatral Textielkunst Bertina Slettenhaar, Viva Vilt Margot van Leeuwen, that work together with the Almeerse Wolunie and Stichting Stad & Natuur. The latter has made two of its locations - De Vossenburcht and De Schaapskooi - available for the exhibition and demonstrations.
Open for visit until 11 December 2016 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11.00 - 16.30 hours.
Vossenburcht, Almere, Weerwaterplein 3, 1324 EE Almere, (side entrance) - Admission fee: € 7.50
After the Netherlands, the exhibition will travel further to the town of Prato in Italy. The organising body in Italy will be the Dyeing House Gallery. Have a look at website address for more information.
